One of the key strategies we use at Golborne High School to support our Year 11 pupils in the GCSE preparations is our Period 6. These revision sessions are part of the school timetable for Year 11 pupils and provide pupils with an extra hour of quality and targeted revision in school with their teachers. This additional support will prove invaluable in supporting their revision approach, learning what revision looks like in each subject, revisiting prior learning, providing dedicated time for controlled assessment and helping with areas that they are finding difficult.
Period 6 is run using the timetable below.
There are also a great number of lunchtime sessions available to all of our Year 11 pupils.
