We are proud of our wonderful pupils, our dedicated staff and the supportive team of governors and parents, who form an integral part of our wider school community.

If you are suitably qualified and would like to share in our vision for all-around excellence in all aspects of educational provision, we would very much welcome hearing from you.

What colleagues can expect from the school

At Golborne High, you will find a school which is committed to ongoing and high-quality professional development for all colleagues who form part of our team. We believe that professional learning in education must be continuous and iterative, allowing frequent opportunities for self-reflection and review of impact.

All of the professional learning programmes in which we invest our time and effort, prioritise the highest impact at the classroom level. We believe that this has been central to our recent and ongoing success.

In school, we benefit from a team of experienced and highly-qualified Lead Practitioners and Senior Leaders, all of whom take responsibility for guiding the professional learning process within our community.

Our model for CPD covers all career stages and places a keen emphasis on colleagues taking ownership of their own drive for improvement. As standard practice, all teaching colleagues benefit from five two-hour CPD opportunities each academic year. The CPD which we deliver is based on self-evaluation priorities and is bespoke to the needs identified by colleagues at the school level. Beyond this, there is an extensive range of programmes which we run in order to cater for the professional development needs of all colleagues.
