Caring for and Safeguarding our pupils

Caring for our pupils and ensuring their safety is at the heart of everything we do here at Golborne.  Therefore, safeguarding our pupils is treated as the highest priority at all times.

There is a dedicated team of staff to look after the welfare of the pupils.  Every pupil at Golborne High knows the routes to take if they have a problem, however small.

The school works tirelessly with other partners to ensure the pupils’ needs are met and they have the correct, bespoke package of support for them individually.

Our Safeguarding Team

  • Pastoral Assistant Head Teacher – Safeguarding lead for the school
  • Heads of House – Look after the welfare and progress of all the pupils in their house.
  • Pastoral Support Leaders – Look after the pupils day to day needs and reduce the barriers to learning
  • Pupil Services – Answer any queries for pupils and look after attendance and punctuality.
  • iClass – supports vulnerable pupils through mentoring and counselling
  • School Nurse – Comes in once a week for a confidential drop in session.
