GCSE RESULTS
24th Aug 2023

At Golborne High School we are once again celebrating another set of great results which have been achieved by the diligence and positivity that our Year 11 pupils have shown throughout a very challenging time in education. We could not be prouder of our pupils, who are utterly incredible.  Our Year 11 pupils have faced huge challenges brought about by the Pandemic which impacted on them at the most crucial time in their education. They have responded to those hurdles with determination, and they have never given up. The staff and Governors at Golborne High School have been impressed by the fortitude of our Year 11 pupils who have shown such maturity in a climate of confusion. The results they have achieved are the outcome of 5 years of hard work and unwavering support from the staff and parents.  The teamwork between staff, pupils and parents has led to the success that our Year 11 pupils have achieved. The staff are, without doubt, the most diligent, caring and professional team that a school could wish for. They have shown absolute commitment to the Year 11 pupils and have dedicated hours of time after school and in holidays to ensure that our Year 11 pupils had the best chance of success in their GCSE exams.

As a Headteacher, I am proud of everybody who has contributed to the success of our pupils.  The journey that our Year 11 pupils have taken has been fraught with difficulties this year but they have risen above the obstacles and approached the challenges with humour and fortitude. I would like to thank our Year 11 pupils for the contribution they have made to Golborne High School over the last 5 years and for being a delight to work with. I would also like to thank the staff for their absolute commitment to ensuring that Year 11 pupils were supported and did not suffer during this time of anxiety. I would also like to thank the parents of Year 11 pupils for their support.
